What was your first day at FFRC like?
What Kaya Run # was it?

I found out about FFRC through Sofie from Happy Pace Club! My first Kaya Run was #59, and I was surprised by how welcoming everyone was. I also loved the concept of always ending at a food spot!

I found out about FFRC through a friend who mentioned a club doing intervals and long runs. My first Kaya run was #43, and I felt a little intimidated on my first day. Not a frequent runner then, I just hoped to keep up. My group, led by Michelle, was small, where everyone knew each other. Looking back, the warmth and inclusivity were undeniable

What does being a Toastie mean to you and others?
What would you like to achieve in this block?

My favorite thing about FFRC is that I can find people who share a common passion and interest with me, who are willing to wake up early in the morning to train. Keeping each other in check and pushing one another to become better versions of ourselves every day. I hope to be that someone for others as well.
— Malcolm
My experience with other participants cheering me on and pointing out the FFRC colors at the recent Metasprint Aquathlon highlighted how the FFRC community is welcoming and supportive of each other’s goals - I would also love to continue spreading this culture to others!
